Shipping services to Ukraine

You can ship to the Ukraine via cargo plane, freight haulers, or ocean cargo.  Once in the country you can choose to have a courier service take your parcel to its new home for a relatively reasonable fee.  The Ukraine does not accept any COD (Cash on Delivery) shipments so you will have to have your shipments paid for up front or it will be returned.  No matter what shipping service you choose though, it is best to purchase a tracking system to accompany your parcel so you can ensure it gets to the right spot. 

Customs in Ukraine

Before shipping to the Ukraine, it is best to make sure you have the proper documentation to get your parcel past the Customs office in a timely manner.  These documents include a bill of lading, a certificate of origin and a declared value statement or invoice.  There are some things that you can not send to the Ukraine unless you fill out additional paperwork.  A list of these items can be found on line but include items such as live animals, money, lottery tickets and obscene material. 

Preparing your shipment to Ukraine

Once you choose your shipping company and a get a tracking number, you will be ready to ship your package to the Ukraine.  Just be sure to securely package it, closing all sides with packing tape so that all of the contents remain in the package while in transit.  You can ask your shipping company for suggestions on how to properly package your shipment if you have any questions on the matter. 

Shipping limitations to Ukraine

There is an extensive list of items that are prohibited from being shipped to the Ukraine.  These items include some non conventional items like antiques or art work so it is best to check the list before you try to ship something there to be on the safe side.  You are not allowed to send any materials that promote racism, violence or terrorism as well as any weapons (the types of which are spelled out on the list) or hazardous materials like acids or nuclear material.
