Security concerns when shipping to Armenia

There is a growing concern for crime and violence in Armenia which can directly affect your shipping abilities to the country.  Some thefts specifically target delivery trucks and sorting centers, stealing parcels that are perceived to be of value or that can be resold on the black market.  Additionally there is a rumor of deep corruption within the Customs' department which lends to more thieveries from within.  Because of these security concerns with shipping to Armenia, it is advised that you strongly consider alternate routes of shipping, such as digital, if applicable.  If you must ship there still, then take out some insurance on your items before you ship so at least you can get your money back if you do become a victim to theft.

Shipping destinations in Armenia

Armenia is a land locked country so any shipments you send there via ocean cargo freight liners will have to be delivered to a neighboring country's port, such as the ports Batumi or Porti in Georgia.  From there, they can be driven in truck freight liners to Armenia where they will be met the border for Customs clearance.  If you send via air mail, the Customs process will take place at the airport the shipment is delivered to before being released for delivery.
